Shari Thompson
Shari comes back to Frankfort after a 30 year hiatus in New York. Her love for her hometown and for the Bluegrass state couldn’t keep her away any longer – it was time to come home.
Shari has been involved in fitness and wellness her entire life. In the late 80’s she was the owner and director of a dance studio and aerobics studio. Until her move back to Frankfort, Shari was co-owner of Yoga Life in Port Washington, NY.
After 22 years in corporate finance in New York City, Shari realized it was time to make a change. Her love for yoga had been developing for several years as a student and then with her leaving the rat race of the corporate world she decided to take it to the next step. In 2005 Shari was certified as a Vinyasa yoga teacher by the OM Yoga Center of New York City. Shortly following her extensive yoga training, she opened, with her partners, Yoga Life.
Shari is proud and honored to be back in Frankfort and to have the opportunity to offer yoga to the community. My Old Kentucky OM Yoga Center is a true sanctuary for everyone, whether you are a first timer or a seasoned yogi you will feel welcomed the second you walk through the door.
My Old Kentucky OM, is your My Old Kentucky Yoga Home!!

Amy completed her Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training at Homegrown Yoga in Versailles, with a focus on Vinyasa Flow.
Amy lives in Frankfort surrounded by her rescue animals, and volunteers for a local animal shelter called L.I.F.E. House for Animals. She looks forward to sharing the light of yoga with others – and not just the bendy stuff.
